Signature Keg Urinal Technical Support and Documentation

Find installation guidance, product specifications, rough-in information, component details, and downloadable technical documents for the Signature Keg Urinal. This page is intended for installers, contractors, facility owners, architects, and customers planning a residential or commercial installation.

Product Overview

The Signature Keg Urinal is fabricated from a full-size stainless-steel keg shell and configured as a specialty wall-mounted urinal fixture. It is available as a fixture-only configuration or as a complete installation kit with compatible plumbing components.

Each fixture is individually fabricated from an authentic keg shell, so minor variations in stamped markings, surface character, usage patterns, and shell geometry are normal.

Rough-In Guidance

The flush-valve supply location should be coordinated with the selected flush valve and the finished mounting height of the fixture.

For typical commercial flush-valve installations, the maximum supply rough-in is approximately 11-3/4 inches above the fixture inlet. A shorter rough-in of approximately 7 inches may be used where the flush-valve configuration allows.

The fixture inlet is a 3/4-inch male NPT connection. The drain connection is compatible with a 1-1/2-inch IPS P-trap.

Important: Final mounting height, supply position, drain alignment, blocking, accessibility requirements, and code compliance must be determined by the installer and local authority having jurisdiction.

Mounting and Wall Preparation

The Signature Keg Urinal uses welded upper and lower stainless-steel mounting brackets.

Install the fixture into structural wall framing, solid blocking, masonry, or another substrate capable of supporting the fixture and installation loads. Do not rely on drywall anchors alone.

Confirm that the wall surface is level and that the flush-valve supply, drain, and mounting locations align before drilling or permanently fastening the fixture.

  • Upper bracket: two 5/16-inch mounting holes
  • Lower bracket: one 5/16-inch mounting hole
  • Through-hole lag mounting method
  • Installer-selected fasteners appropriate for the wall construction

Installation Instructions

Review the complete installation instructions before beginning work. Plumbing connections and final installation should be completed by qualified persons familiar with applicable codes and commercial restroom fixtures.

Installation Overview

1. Confirm rough-in and wall support

Verify the supply, drain, mounting height, framing, blocking, accessibility clearances, and finished wall conditions.

2. Position and mark the fixture

Hold the fixture at the intended height and mark the upper and lower bracket locations.

3. Install mounting fasteners

Use appropriate fasteners or anchors selected for the wall construction and structural support.

4. Connect the drain

Connect the 1-1/2-inch drain assembly to the compatible P-trap.

5. Connect the flush valve

Connect the compatible flush valve to the 3/4-inch male NPT fixture inlet.

6. Inspect and test

Check mounting stability, alignment, flush performance, drainage, and all plumbing connections for proper operation and leaks.

Care and Maintenance

Clean the stainless-steel surface with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive stainless-steel cleaner. Avoid steel wool, chlorine-based cleaners, strong acids, and abrasive pads.

Periodically inspect the mounting fasteners, plumbing connections, diffuser performance, and drain flow. Remove mineral deposits before they become severe.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size flush-valve connection does the fixture use?

The fixture inlet is a 3/4-inch male NPT connection.

What size drain connection is required?

The fixture is designed for a 1-1/2-inch IPS drain and P-trap connection.

Is wall blocking required?

Structural support is required. Solid blocking, framing, masonry, or another suitable substrate should be provided. Drywall anchors alone are not recommended.

Is the flush valve included?

The flush valve is included only with the Complete Kit configuration. Review the selected product option before ordering.

Can the fixture be installed at an accessible height?

The fixture can be installed as part of an accessible restroom configuration when mounted with the required height, clearances, controls, and surrounding conditions. Final compliance depends on the complete installation and must be verified by the installer and applicable authority.

Are all keg shells identical?

No. Authentic keg shells may vary slightly in stamping, surface character, usage patterns, age, and minor geometry. Kegs selected for upcycling are inspected before fabrication.

Is the fixture third-party certified?

The fixture is fabricated to applicable material and specialty-fixture standards, but the complete fabricated fixture is not third-party certified unless specifically stated in current product documentation. A letter of conformity is available upon request.

Warranty

Structural welds, permanent fixture mounts, and materials are covered under The Tailored Taproom Structural Lifetime Guarantee. Mechanical components, finish, diffuser components, and ancillary hardware are covered according to the current product warranty terms.
